Electronic waste - Ghana
Dutch electrical consumer goods are transported in large quantities to Accra, Ghana. So-called e-waste.
They are exported and labelled as secondhand goods, 'working items'. This to avoids regulations due to prevent exporting waste to third world countries.
Once the broken televisions, computers and refrigerator have arrived in Accra, at Agbogbloshie market, they are taken apart to be 'recycled'. This is one of the dirtiest and most poisoned places, one can possibly imagine.
