Kenya - Dadaab
In 2006 I shot these analogue photographs as a final project, to graduate at the Fotovakschool (Dutch Photo academy). This series is a concise testimony to the lives of the people living in refugee camp Dadaab, Kenya.
In Wajir, I photographed problems caused by the ongoing drought.
Many thanks and appreciation goes to Peter Smerdon of the World Food Program, who made this project possible for me. Also, Henny Drijfhout helped me to bring these photographs to many exhibitions (please view Wildverband).
